Product Summary
The Laowa 24mm Tilt-Shift Lens for Nikon mirrorless cameras brings precise perspective correction and creative depth-of-field control to architectural, interior and landscape photography. An unusually fast F2 aperture provides greater flexibility when shooting in low light, from twilight cityscapes to night skies.
Shift movements of up to ±12mm keep vertical lines parallel and allow overlapping frames to be captured for high-resolution stitching. Meanwhile, ±10° tilt changes the plane of focus to extend sharpness or isolate selected subjects. Zero-D optics minimise distortion across the 84° field of view, while the all-metal construction, manual focus, 77mm filter thread and rotating Arca-Swiss compatible lens support provide practical handling for carefully composed images.
Correct Perspective At Capture
Shift keeps vertical lines parallel without tilting the camera upwards, so you spend less time correcting perspective in editing and keep more of your original composition and resolution.
Control Over Depth Of Field
Tilt changes the orientation of the focal plane. Extend sharpness across subjects at different distances, isolate selected areas or create a miniature effect with a narrow band of focus.
Brighter Than A Typical Tilt-Shift
F2 collects more light than the typical F4 tilt-shift, which helps in dim interiors, twilight architecture and astrophotography, and gives you subject separation when combined with tilt.
Straight Lines, Controlled Aberrations
Four high-refractive-index, five extra-low dispersion and two aspherical elements control aberrations and keep image quality high.
Higher-Resolution Stitching
Shifting the image circle across the sensor lets you capture overlapping frames without rotating the camera, then combine them into wider, higher-resolution images for architectural, landscape and commercial assignments.
Room To Move
The 67mm image circle leaves plenty of coverage for movements on full-frame sensors. The rotating lens support lets you change the direction of tilt and shift to suit the shot.
Tilt-Shift Limitations
The available movements depend on focusing distance. Increasing tilt generally reduces the maximum shift available, and vice versa.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it autofocus or communicate with my camera?
No autofocus is available. Focus and aperture are adjusted manually on the lens. Electronic communication and EXIF transfer have not yet been confirmed by Laowa.
How do I focus and expose accurately?
Use your Sony's focus magnification and focus peaking to check sharpness. Exposure can be assessed through the viewfinder or rear screen, although metering behaviour with this lens remains to be confirmed.
Does it work on APS-C?
Yes, it is compatible with APS-C bodies, providing a 36mm-equivalent field of view. Tilt and shift movements remain available.
Can I use tilt and shift together?
Yes, although the available movements depend on focusing distance. At infinity, ±3° tilt allows ±12mm shift, while the full ±10° tilt leaves no shift available. Refer to the limitations table for other combinations.
Will filters cause vignetting at full shift?
They may. Slim-profile filters are preferable when using extensive movements, as thicker filter rings can potentially intrude into the image.
Can I create panoramic images?
Yes. Capture overlapping frames using shift while keeping the camera stationary, then combine them into a wider, higher-resolution photograph.
Why use tilt instead of simply stopping down the aperture?
Stopping down increases depth of field, while tilt changes the orientation of the focus plane. This allows you to extend sharpness across subjects at different distances without relying on very small apertures, minimising diffraction.
